Description I heard that using a deodorant can stun it so I used my old spice on it and it seemed to really not like it and then it wreathed in pain, rolled onto it's back and stopped moving....
I didn't buy it. That would have been too easy. So I looked at it for a minute. It stood perfectly still and after a minute or so, it realized I wasn't buying it's possum play so it got up like nothing happened...
I knew at that moment that if this thing is smart enough to try and feign death so I would let my guard down and rise the glass... I need to be extra careful to ensure it will not get away.
So I sprayed it a lot. And I mean a lot, until it couldn't even feign staying still and was just constantly having issues breathing, twitching all over the place. Eventually it stopped moving around and just twitched in place uncontrollably. That meant it was time to take it to the final step...

The animation had the effects sped up a lot. I don't think it would have been worth just making a twitching animation last 20 seconds and then have it lie still for a minute

Man I know I'm kinda biased here but isn't that a bit much?
I'm sure there are tons of more practical, quicker and less damn painful ways to kill a being... you could drown it for example.

I considered drowning, but these things can hold a breath for quite a long time (40 minutes, or so I heard), It is also debatable if drowning is the less painful option. Isn't it kind of similar? Making breathing a pain? It just lasts a lot longer. And I can't end it early if it is in liquid. Not to mention, it feigned death once before, how would I know it didn't feign it again?
Even if there was a lot of spray, it didn't last long, just  a few minutes, until the final strike.
The spray was actually necessary, as you will see...

Well, my plan would be to throw it into water, from which it can't escape, and then grab it and crush it. Fast with minimum chances of it getting away.
But the way you put it the spraying isn't all that bad too.

this made me shiver because i just experienced trying to get into a car with probably 500 box-elder bugs on the floor and flying everywhere. It was horrible.

But roaches don't have natural predators in this environment. Probably cuz they are bad for you.
