Description
T H E J O U R N E YLong time in the making.
Close shots/ crops of the full resolution piece can be seen here: >> [link] <<

Specs:
Time: Somewhere around 24 hours. I spent most of Tuesday working on it (until late at night, too...) and a few hours of today making it.
Layers: around 800, before merging. However, this was due to the fact that every single larger star (not the noisy stars, the defined ones) were all individual lens flares, resized and recolored over and over and over
# of times I listened to THIS song: somewhere around 100.
Original size: 3500x1600. Big enough for prints.

EDIT: Added more space dust, change the colors just a bit, and more stars
EDIT 2: Added even more dust to blend it all in; color corrections done as well
I present to you my contribution to the new "Galaxies" fad
Anybody who read my "How I Do It".....'tutorial' will appreciate this.

This is a very gorgeous picture. Everything you've done in this space art has perfection on it. I love the soft edges on the blue light and the very glass-like effect of the whole picture.
If I may point out one thing, though -- I think the image is cropped prematurely on the top and bottom. It brings all this magnificent beauty that you have to such an abrupt end. This may be a purely aesthetic choice for you, however... and should that be the case, then it's best to ignore what I said!

Thanks so much
Actually, the image isn't cropped, that was the original resolution/size of it, just downsized a bit so it's more manageable on the desktop.
But thanks very much

Nice one. The blue light on the left is awesome, great balance between light and form (i.e. it doesn't look overdodged, but still gives a great sense of lightness). Stars are well placed and bring focus to the galaxy well, the depth is well achieved with them being larger the closer they are to view. Galaxy is quite minimal too, but there is a slight gritty texture to it, exemplified by the blue light to the left. Well done.

Wait, what? I didn't overdodge something? This is a proud moment in history
Yeah, about the stars The more I look at them, the more I realize you are right, but that wasn't even intentional in the first place, with the depth and all XD
But it works
Thanks very much for the comment!

Overall nice work.

I know. It's a powerful moment. Take as long as you need to take it all in.
