Gosh you wouldn't believe how long this took. Between learning a thing or two with gimp, to actually composing and taking the picture, oy.

I can't wait for the weather to improve so I can go out and get some real exposure to this fun stuff.

*note*
Yes I could have gone in another direction with the colors, but I really like how pinks turn out. Can't wait for the skies to be a wee less boring so I can get moving/learning. Ciao~

wohoo more tweaking and hours later (a lot of of reading not much actual work), and a new and improved image! ahhhh I can't wait to take those landscape shots now! It turns out aperture works great for the color level and adjusting, good times!

It's not incredibly sharp, for some reason the focus seemed to shift a wee bit after I put the filter on (even after locking the lens), I'm going to have to figure a way to compensate for this (on close up images).
