My water skills are seriously underdeveloped so I thought I’d try my hands at some wave tubes or wave tunnels. They were surprisingly easy for me to draw. This one took me 30 minutes so I guess I could also call this a speed painting. It’s also only my third attempt, so I was quite surprised how well it turned out.

I decided to flip the image in the end though since I think it makes it look better.

Some Tips:
There seem to be some colour zones / bands going through the wave, they are (from top to bottom):
- white or almost white water droplets
- lighter translucent part where the sunlight is coming through (this part is more cyan or turquoise than the rest of the wave)
- a darker band
- a slightly lighter band at the bottom of the wave reflecting the lighter translucent part from the top
- a band reflecting the white water droplets
