Description Testing out animation in Daz Studio and animated using Photoshop.

Had some trouble getting it to animate properly here on DA.

I need a bit of purely technical feedback...

The image is 1000x1000 right now - does it take too long to load up and play on your machines? I could change the file size...

I think this is the right dimension for an animation 1000x1000. I'm glad you like it!

Animation opens up a whole new world of possibilities for me!

Took a few seconds to load but works fine. Looks amazing!...yeah, you might need to add that drool warning!!
The animation runs really smoothly, how many images make up the scene, Pratev, if you don't mind me asking?
I've had a go at animation so I can appreciate the work involved! Well done!

75 Images - which took just over 2hrs total.

Since I compiled it in Photoshop I did the freeze at beginning and end, background, branding, and fade-in/out in Photoshop.

Nice work.
I became interested in animation when I saw this one a year or so ago:

Oooh, that's nice! Simple and effective! Have to drop The Sithster a note about that guy!

I highly recommend that you get the add-on Keymate from the Daz store. I got Graphmate also - but I haven't tried it yet.
Maybe it's just because I have training in 3D Studio Max - but trying to use the native keyframing system is a nightmare!

Thanks, Pratev. I haven't had any training in animation so I'm at a bit of a disadvantage but am working on it!! Cheers!

The concept of key-framing is very simple. There's a timeline that shows your animation and the "keys" represent changes to one parameter or another, like moving an arm, or blinking. The computer fills in all the intermediate steps between keys. In sithlordsims video, for example - a simple rotation of a camera around the figure.

I am *guessing* that the camera stayed in the same place and it was the FIGURE that rotated. That would be much easier than trying to make a circular path around a static object. But how? The background... Simple! Rotate the character AND the background and it looks like the camera is doing a circuit around the figure!

Lotsa tutorials online - have fun!

Hey stop revealing my secrets! Just kidding xD ahaha
What I did was exactly as you explained.
I render 120 images and rest ends in photoshop, because I do not know how to use the animation in Daz.
Actually I just tested the animation in Daz once, I'd rather not overload my computer with rendering hours.
I do not know what I did can be called animation, because what you did yes is an animation:
the character makes a facial expression and accompanying the movement of the camera. This is really cool!

Yours is a real animation! Just a different kind of animation.

I can actually speak to that a bit. Play with the rendering settings until a single frame renders in less than 3 minutes or so. The quality doesn't have to be as high, and the size doesn't have to be as large. Then, render to individual numbered images as you did and combine them in photoshop. You can export it as a gif or as an mp4. Video for the internet doesn't have to have a high frame rate. 10-15fps or so is probably fine - especially if it's a gif. Yours was 12fps, wasn't it? Anyway. If you get the frame renders down to 60-sec each - that's only 2 hours. Run it at night. If it crashes in the middle - no problem! Just start it up where it left off - because each frame was rendered individually - and the earlier ones are all still there!

Very quick for me.  No issue at all, except I need to wipe away the drool now.
