Description Colored version of Morning Ritual. To tell the truth, I'm not at all happy with the way this one turned out. I'm content with the deer/horse lower half, but not his midsection--I really need to learn how to draw abs. I'm also not happy with the way the color came out. Next time (and there will be a next time because I'm just anal like that), I'll try to use indigo blue to shade rather than black.

Granted, I'm always overly critical of my own work. But that's just the way it goes.

Ne-who, enjoy!

Someone needs to invent an official formula for what happens when that human body turns into horse. I think your version looks brilliant though! Often, when I tried to draw Andalites there it ended up looking a bit rude. It's so hard to do.

However, seeing as there is no official grey's anatomy for Andalites, for now we get to just make it up however we want it. Whoop

Indeed. Any series that has Centaur like creatures covers up said transition with shaggy fur.

That would be kinda interesting if someone made an exobiology version of Grey's Anatomy. George Lucas and James Cameron have developed "Creatures of Star Wars/Pandora," respectively. Exobiology is just another step off, eh?

Did they? I'm not fussed about Star Wars but would love to see the Pandora one. Although, aren't they just people anatomy, just a bit taller?

I drew a taur once. With the body of a lion, and the body of an anthropomorphic wolf on top. I shoved a big lion's mane there to cover up the transition. Much easier

Yeah, it's called "A Confidential Report on the Biological and Social History of Pandora." I may not have liked the plot, as it was incredibly predictable and in no way original, but the aliens were cool.

Yeah, the Na'vi were basically really tall human/cat people. I can't help but wonder why the Na'vi had boobs when they aren't placental mammals. Sex appeal perhaps?

That's a great solution. It would make things a lot easier if Andalites had manes.

Oh, wow! That's amazing! And I could never figure out Andalite abs, either, so don't feel too bad. lol.

Seriously, it's the hardest darn thing to draw, the transition between pseudo-human and horse/deer, that is.

I don't know how many times I redid that part before I ended up with what you see in the image. My colored pencils just wouldn't blend anymore.

I'm glad you like it. And thanks! %^_^%
