Description This is a watercolor assignment for my media class. We all got out photographs taken, and then the photos were mixed around and we painted a random classmate. I added some line work after I got it (and my grade) back. I like how it looks with the ink.

I love the style of this. Really really nice. His left eyebrow seems to be a bit too straight and not really matching his right eyebrow, but I've not seen the guy in real life, so that might be intended. Otherwise, top!

I simply adore this, reminds me of a friend of mine. I also adore your mixed media watercolor and ink, it gives a very nice effect.

Holy hell, this is seriously one of the best watercolours I have ever seen. You got the colours to blend perfectly. The only things that look odd, are the pencil sketches on the top right part of the hair, his right jaw and neck don't really match up with the left side, and his left temple looks like it goes it a bit too far. Other than that, I can't see anything wrong and those are pretty minor mistakes.

Drawing in hair can be such a bitch - you did a really good job on not adding too much detail; I also really enjoy how you handled the cast shadows here.

Wow, great! He looks meditative. You handle watercolours expertly in my opinion - the painting is smooth and seems real... it doesn't matter that the pink colour probably found its freedom when coloring and that I think that the gleam or something on his right cheek shouldn't be there.

Wow, that's quite a cool and unique technique. Much more interesting than a usual portrait!

Love it, love it, love it. It has a rad sort of 60's feel to it, or 70's. I like very much how sharp some of the shadows are and how bright the highlights are. I also think that the pink not being contained in the lips is very interesting.

haha. well, the pink was an accident attributed to the weird watercolor application process. i'm glad you like it nonetheless!
