Description
Another reference sheet, this time the redesigned Erebus. Being the Protogenos of Darkness and the Void, I wanted the look to reflect lovecraftian beings such as Cthulu that would invoke madness at first sight (Hermeas Mora from TES was also inspiration). The only difference is that instead of mere mortals descending into insanity, it's kaiju that become afraid and deranged.
Erebus resides in Darkrealm, a void that harbors nothing but the never-ending eclipse of the shadow. One can say Erebus IS that shadow itself, his very being encompassing an entire pocket dimension of nothingness. He is the creator of Dark Aether and as such can manipulate it to any whim he desires. Erebus is a master of manipulation and specializes in deteriorating his victims slowly, eventually converting them to herald his darkness; from there, they'll spread it to all corners of the universe that remain untouched. It is only because of his fellow Protogenos brethren keeping him locked up in Darkrealm that this task can prove to be quite...tiresome.
