Don't ask why I painted this model. I don't know. It was there, so.

Technically this is the third time I painted the model. The first colour scheme was white with gold details and probably a purple hood. Then, some time later, when I switched from enamels to acrylics, I stripped the model and painted the usual splash of base colours: Liche Purple armour, Bleached Bone hood and decorations. Of course it stopped there.

While stripping paint nowadays is easier and quite less offensive to smell, drain and environment, I decided agaist it. The acrylic base would accept any kind of colour, so I went or it.

I decided for a gold and red scheme because that's a combination that I rarely use on 40K models.

The base is made from Silver Grey Milliput textured with a Green Stuff World rolling pin.

Citadel Colours used:

Armour and decorations: Balthasar Gold, Cryptek Armourshade Gloss, Gehenna Gold, Auric Armour Gold, Stormhost Silver.

Red armour: Mephiston Red, Nuln Oil, Evil Sunz Scarlet, Wild Rider Red, Fire Dragon Bright, Lugganath Orange.

Hood: Mephiston Red, Nuln Oil, Evil Sunz Scarlet, Wild Rider Red, Fire Dragon Bright, Lugganath Orange, Contrast Medium, Flesh Tearers Red, Abaddon Black.

Gems: Abaddon Black, Warpstone Glow, Moot Green, White Scar.

Skin: Blood reaver Flesh, Knight Questor Flesh.

Weapons gold decorations: Retributor Armour, Reikland Fleshshade Gloss, Auric Armour Gold, Stormhost Silver.

Armour joints and rod: Abaddon Black, Skavenblight Dinge, Stormvermin Fur, Administratum Grey.

Purity seals: Zandri Dust, Gryphonne Sepia (Wash), Ushabti Bone, Screaming Skull, Rhinox Hide, Khorne Red, Nuln Oil, Wazdakka Red, Pink Horror, Fulgrim Pink.

Psycannon: Iron Warriors, Nuln Oil, Iron Hands Steel.

Phylactery: Screaming Bell, Agrax Earthshade, Fulgurite Copper, Canoptek Alloy.

Base: Moot Green, White Scar, Dawnstone, Administratum Grey, Ulthuan Grey, Warpstone Glow, Abaddon Black, Fulgurite Copper, Canoptek Alloy, Nihilak Oxide.
