Description: The Boa Constrictor is a large species of snake that is native to South America, but can also be found in Central America and some islands of the Caribbean, as well as an introduced population in Florida. There are a total of 9 different subspecies of Boa Constrictors, the one most commonly known is the subspecies Boa Constrictor Constrictor, also known as the Red-Tailed Boa, like the one shown here. These large snakes are often bred and raised in captivity, mostly as pets or as part of public displays or private collections, some may fear these snakes for their large size, but surprisingly, most Boa Constrictors in captivity are rather tame, even in the wilds of South America, they are somewhat tame, but will defend itself if necessary, while the Central American population is more hostile when interacted with. Boa Constrictors are mostly nocturnal, but they are known to come out during the day to bask when it gets too cold at night. Another interesting fact about their behavior is their semi-arboreal lifestyle, the young Boa Constrictors will climb up trees and other tall foliage to look for food, like birds, lizards, amphibians, bats, and mice, as they get older and larger, they return to living life on the ground and hunting for larger prey to suit their growing body size, like medium sized mammals, some reports even state that a Boa Constrictors are seen hunting large lizards and even Ocelots.

Personal Thoughts: I think I have seen this snake once or twice in zoos and pet stores, they do get pretty big, I can see why some people would want a big snake like this as a pet, but I wouldn't recommend it, as it is a very big job to care for a snake of this size. One really big thing I love about this animal in the game is that it has a unique animation set, it moves exactly like a real snake would, and thanks to this one mod, several other snake mods use the same animations as this one, which is awesome if you plan on making a reptile house, an actual one, not that little kiosk in the default game. This one has no bugs or glitches, the modeling and textures are accurate compared to the real animal, it can breed properly, and it is an absolute must have for your Zoo Tycoon 2 game.
