Fixed the problem.

Well heres the reference sheet for my Mechanicus army using the daemon codex. Hopefully this will be useful to my opponent and clear up any confusion about what each of the models are representing. Which means the only questions I should be asked are about the deamon units themselves.

Sadly I've yet to complete the Plaguebearer squad but you should be able to see the first miniature on the reference sheet.

You may have heard of this before, but this reminds me of the Iron men referenced in old GW lore, this gives me some good ideas for future models.

I love your whole conversion concept and theme of the army... !
it goes above and beyond conversion actually, this is more like inventing a new army.. not that 40k needs it but still... I will deffinently take some of this into consideration (not the specific mech theme) when i go about completing my nurgle zombie undead imperial guard conversion which i guess is abit more "standard" .. but i love the "traitor guard" theme and nurgle is such a fun conversion theme But your ingenious fresh thinking ways are inspirering and reminds me to not just make undead IG.. maybe come up with some fresh stuff cheers!

Nice work. Are they based off GW models, or are most from elsewhere? I recognize several Necron parts, Maybe a few Titan bitz, but I'm not sure of the rest...

NO they are a renegade (not chaotic) machine cult I just use daemons rules because they're prefect for representing machines. Given how ineffective and boring the necron codex is at the moment.

yeah but you were off sick. No worries I'm currently trying to come up with a way to display a shortened version of the armies fluff on one page.

From the glimpse of the "plaguebearer" shown here, the squad is going to look very effective.

I really like what you've done, and it's nice to finally see a representation of all the models in your army in one single place, brings it together, and gives an insight of what to expect.

Question though... any thoughts on a soulgrinder type sort of heavy support option for your army, especially if you're using the daemon codex?

Proiteus In reply to Warhammer-Fanatic [2009-08-28 09:02:05 +0000 UTC]

The only problem with soul grinders is while it easy for me to construct a cool looking robot out of the defiler sprue it's impossiable to make it match the rest of the army's appearance with the smooth armour as everything about the defiler's armour is hard and sharp.

And I can't resort to using non gw models.

I thought they looked somewhat familiar.

These are the Heroscape "Soulborg" 'mechs, correct? They look to be good kitbashes.

Ah... you have a good point there, I personally also don't have a defiler in my Iron Warriors army, mainly because of it's size and transportation issues, but I feel it would not fit in to my own army, mainly because it's a daemon engine, and I'm trying to make a Chaos army that avoids daemons apart from a Daemon Prince, and perhaps the occasional appearence from say a Greater Daemon.
