Description
Universe: Pipevine ProjectHe works at the Pipevine Café as a waiter. He is also a poet and is the one who suggested having open-mic nights at the café.
He does not always wear glasses, in fact it is more on rare occasions that he does, so here is another semi-reference sheet with the variations of this outfit set:
Error: I noticed two things I need to fix
His shirt sleeves are rolled up as well.
Art of him (with the little scar near his eyebrow):
Personality:
- Polite
- Gentle
- Friendly
- Somewhat of a pushover
- Always sees the best traits in others
Love Interest:
I do want to provide more about him, and his relationship with Mia, but I will save that for now. The only things left I'll say is that they contrast each other, in that he is a romantic (enjoys the fantastical) and that she is a realist/down-to-earth. In other aspects, however, they are similar. They're both soft-spoken and are shy in some ways. I suppose that is it for now
Quotes about Jin:
"The most gentlemanly of all gentlemen." - Mia
"Don't make it so easy for others to take advantage of your kindness." - Mia
Fun fact 1: While I was drawing him, when he had some base colors on, someone at home walked by and said he looked like a generic anime man. I did not think much of it (because my intention was to make simplistic looking characters for my Pipevine project), but this "generic anime man" title soon became a reoccurring joke. This, oddly enough, made the process of completing him pretty difficult (or just longer than it should have~ haha).
Yes, I realize if Eric were to be his last name that it's not a common surname (although it's not impossible either). I think I'd rather just leave it up in the air whether it's his last name or middle name, however that (Jin Eric) is what his friends and co-workers know him by~ He still gets called Eric-san So make of that what you will~* haha
Fun fact 2: The color-swatch tree that has a placeholder tag on it will be for his work button-badge. I have not yet designed the logo for the Pipevine Café, but once I do I will add in his button-badge on this template.
I also realize there are a few black color-swatches overall, so hopefully this helps clarify a bit.
Colors:
o = about the same color [] = color swatch trees

P.S. I'd like to thank my friends, with this artwork and also in general, for putting up with me by viewing my multitude of wips (trying to figure out colors even when it's such a simple character~ haha). Thanks so much for the continuous support~*

Ehuehoue, with his apron he reminds me of that art contest you hosted with the Malcolm NPC +w+
He seems like a sweet guy though I also really like how creative you are with color palettes!

To be honest I did always (since around the time of that contest actually) have the urge to make a male character with an apron, so Jin was my excuse to do so~ haha But I do plan to illustrate more of the cafe setting he works in sometime in the future. I have a feeling once I'm out of my art-slump I'll still be drawing characters without backgrounds
I would like to play around more with reference sheets too. Thank you Starrii
I know this response is super late, but I do really appreciate your comment~*
