Description I've always loved the super star destroyer in the Star Wars films. When you saw it, you know that this was the one ship you didn't want to mess with. It is basically the size of Manhattan armed to the teeth. I've always wanted one since. But thanks to the new canon, we have to rethink on how many there are now flying around. Or were.. The new canon says that there were only thirteen Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts in existence. And the last one in Imperial hands (officially) was the Ravager. Which is now a mountain of scrap on Jakku. But that doesn't mean that the First Order couldn't have their own super star destroyers, right? If they could turn an entire planet into a star system destroying doomsday weapon, why not?

The Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts were the largest and most powerful warships ever built by the Galactic Empire. Their sheer size and power made them symbols of fear in the galaxy. But by the end of the Galactic Civil War, only one, the Ravager, was in Imperial hands. When it was destroyed during the battle of Jakku, it was believed that all super star destroyers were officially gone. 30 years later, however, in the depths of the Unknown Regions, the First Order, the heir apparent to the old empire, had built a highly advance armada of new and powerful warships for their plans for galactic domination. Out of the secret facilities and shipyards of the First Order came the Imperator-class Star Dreadnoughts. The first super star destroyers to appear in the galaxy in 30 long years. The Imperator-classes were far more advance and much more powerful than their predecessor, the Executor-class, in both size, armaments, and speed. The engineers of the First Order heavily based on this massive warship on the Executors, but with their design flaws removed with the main command bridge built better defenses against enemy starfighters. With more powerful weapons and equipped with superior wings of starfighters, these ships could operate on their own without the protection of the fleet for long periods of time. Able to invade planets with a small army or turn the surface into a wasteland of molten rock from orbit. It is unknown how many of these ships are in operation, but to keep their numbers a secret, each Imperator-class Star Dreadnought were each built in a different facility and shipyard. In this way, the New Republic or the Resistance would never know the true scale of the project or number of ships being built. The First Order values these warships highly as they are key to their plans to 'restore order' to the galaxy and build a new Galactic Empire.

I'm really loving these designs, they also look like Forerunner ships from Halo.
