I haven't found someone who made a more badass weapon than this one. So you take the cake.

Thanks! I'm actually working on a pretty 'badass' gun right now

the exposed barrel is a great idea.

A trigger guard would be a good idea.

What for? A trigger guard would be redundant in this design.

It would be functional, and it looks naked without it.

At least, that's how I see it. If you can see a use for one, please tell.

Ehh a little trigger guard wouldn't hurt. I guess it's better to lose a few soldiers a year from accidental fire than add a 30 cent piece of metal over the trigger.

I'm not very experienced with firearms, so instead of being sarcastic, you could have just told me that it prevents accidental fire.

I've only fired a few guns and it was on the same day, several years ago. I'm not experienced, either.

The combination fingerguard and handguard replaces its function.

Hey, any chance of seeing you take a whirl at an equally science fiction-y GPMG or MMG built around similar principles?

Probably. I plan on trying a little of everything.

You're definitely doing the whole lineart thing better than I ever did

Honestly, pretty much all of the lineart on this weapon was somehow inspired by your Essen. In fact, that's what made me want to do something in vector in the first place. Thanks!

The weapon looks complicated..... Which makes it awesome. The only problem is that it looks kinda of flimsy

I don't see the flimsiness, especially when compared to several modern weapon forms.

The weapon has multiple cutoffs and doesn't look like it connects to the main part of the weapon

I can see where you're coming from. but in my defense, futuristic and even modern materials could allow for weapons to be considered sturdy even if it's not one big piece. I mean, just look at a disassembled Vector.

Bayrain In reply to prokhorvlg [2015-07-17 03:11:11 +0000 UTC]
Agreed, it has the light weight design but doesn't look like it could really stand up to damage by explosive or fall without losing a piece.

Nice work! Weapon looks great. I like idea of dual ammunition and coils instead gunpowder. If It be real gun, I would want to buy It.

Man, i must admit i felt relief when i saw in the description that this was made in Photoshop. I was originally thinking you had made this in PMG and was thinking "how many days did he spend in this thing?"; now i can rest assured you did not spend so much time, maybe some hours or a few days
Anyways, this is pretty much top-notch art. I love the way you did the "textures" in the weapon, gives a great look to it.

prokhorvlg In reply to caiobrazil [2015-07-15 03:40:35 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. Yeah, it is reminiscent of PMG style but I don't think half of this would be possible to recreate in PMG (unless you're doing it dot by dot or something). It took about 3 days.
I wouldn't have added the textures if it wasn't for Doug7070's suggestion, I ought to give him credit there.
