That's pretty universal, happens in graphic design, programming, management. Deadlines kinda suck, but at least I've found that I can't work without them either, I meander too much without deadlines.

Always make deadlines with rest days in mind. Temple Grandin one said she can finish a project in a day but gives herself 3 days so the customer doesn’t feel like she rushed the job and so she gets needed time off!
