At last! Finally! Chapter 2 is here!
Featuring a LOT more content than the first chapter, and many improvements to the Engine, too!
Be sure to read the in-game instructions so then you know how to play it.
This is a story-driven RPG. The action is there to move the story along, rather than the other way around. There's a lot of dialogue; if you're going to SKIP it all, why bother playing an RPG at all?
As with last time, almost everything in this game is made by me.
I drew and animated everything, did all the coding, and composed all the music. Only the sound effects were not made by me; I got those from some free sound effects site (years ago; I can't remember what site it WAS anymore...).
Since I composed all the music myself, and put a lot of care and effort into it, I'd like to know what people think of the music!
As well as the rest of the game, of course.
Detailed feedback is GREATLY appreciated, even if I don't respond to tell you so!
There may still be bugs! Tell me if you find any so then I can correct them!
So yes! Play this game! It took a long time and a lot of effort to make for you!

Great games! although i'm stuck a bit, in order to get to the hag, I have already used the aqua lung on everyone and I can't get into the lake, any suggestions?

also everytime i log into the game it's starts me off in the mining caves every time and i keep saving! is this a bug or a glitch?

First of all, I should say, that the game is brilliant. Especially the great music (the boss music is the best! ^^) and marvellous graphics.
I'm in the catacombs and I found bug. I dunno if it is a bug, but in 'Catacombs - B2' are two mysterious passages, near the sign about some kind of shop.
And there is another bug. I was in Trilobite Cave and when I was in keys inventory I took somehow Trilobite Key and then something happened, that in inventory with simple items was no item besides Trilobite Key. I reset the game and when I loaded last slot it became to normal.

And it would be great if there was an option, thanks to which I could make from three connected potions three separated, I hope that you know what I mean. ^^'

I'm wondering from where I can get rest of Trilobite keys. Because I have two of them (one from Tainted Grotto and one from thath thief) and I can't get through the second doors in cave.

Advanced crit, huh? Well the only battle I really had trouble on was that other group of explorers, who knew jack about what they were doing (but that's because I blow through a game really fast). I had a lot of fun.
I totally laughed at the keyblade user.
It was more challenging and interesting than what I'd give many other RPGs credit for.
A bug (nothing major) seems to be that you can just walk into another sprite if it is moving, but you can walk out of it, so its not much of a problem.
My only real qualm would be the overworld sprites... They look a touch flat. I'd make the heads a bit more rounded and a little less squareish overall. Overall best all-nighter I've had in a long time...

I'm still iffy about the controls though, switching from mouse to keyboard to mouse in the menu, but it's much improved. >D<
By the way, I just LOVE the GdM. They're so kooky and ridiculous, I just can't help but love them...myes...Moric's tale was also sad...but it's great that you're putting such careful thoughts into their characters.
I'm definitely looking forward to the third chapter!

I'm not sure what to do about this, sp I guess I'll just post here.
I got on my computer a couple of days ago to find that the save file I'd been on for 4 hours had suddenly...been deleted and replaced with an older file I had a long time ago. I tried everything to get it back, but later gave up and started from there.
I finally beat Bartholio's team again, and I was almost up to the place I was at before my game was erased. Before the battle though, I think I somehow took an 'extra step' because the sprites were...'into each other', if you know what I mean (Mardek and Bartholio's were). I finally finished the battle, and my screen was back, and I can't seem to fix it...
Do you know how I might be able to fix this? I really don't want to play for another 4 hours just to get to the same spot I was at twice before (and possibly have my game frozen or something).
But besides that, this game is wonderful. I can't stop playing it. ^.^ You're a very talented flash-game creator. C:

Style, story, graphics, and music are all AMAZING. In fact, you got me back into doing some Flash things.
Out of curiosity, what program did you use to make the music? I have a keyboard that I can hook up to my computer, but I don't have any type of program.

I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but I found the Trilobite Key in the Tainted Grotto but it doesn't show up in my key items and I can't enter the Trilobite Cavern.

How do you cast the spell to breathe underwater? I cant figure it out.

you go into spells, hit actions... then go to Emela, she has a spell 'aqualung' you use that on the three of them and your all good.

I am only just past the intro text, but i had to stop to tell you this. Even though I haven't met the guy yet, with his attitude, this Steele reminds me of the character of the same name from the movie Balto.

Well, I like this game. The story is really interesting. Not something you'd find on an online game that is free such as this. The dialogue is well done. The graphics, skills, battle system, menu, all well done.
But... Some really bad bugs. REALLY bad bugs. I guess it's common to find bugs in games, yes, but part of me thinks you should have waited just a little bit more to release the game. Some bugs of note:
Saving the game in any location after you first enter the tainted grotto will sometimes make the screen go black with only the sprites visible. This isn't really a problem, as you have the map, but sometimes the actual door is impassable because of this.
The crashing thing. I downloaded the latest flashplayer, and it hasn't happened to me yet, but I saw one guy say he did, with the quality turned down, and he still got the crashing.
I found the trilobite key, and when I tried to enter the trilobite cave, it... Wouldn't let me enter the trilobite cave. I checked key items, the key wasn't there. Artefacts? Wasn't there. Regular items? Not there.
I keep hearing about this verhn(?) glitch. I thought I saw you say you fixed it, but then I saw more people say they encountered it.
Not so sure if this is really a glitch or not, but... There is a missing spot in the places part of the encyclopedia. Inbetween the glens and the lake. Place # 10, I think. What is it and where is it located?
And, that's like, the only problems. Sure, the bosses are hard, but nothing a little leveling up and strategizing can't fix.

I'm having the same problem with the 'load' option on the main menu, mine showed up grey too.
I'm using I.E, and I had not been using the the latest version of flash player(although I got it just a second ago).
Just got passed the bandit thing, and was on my merry way to the next place when I.E gave me an error about how the flash program did something, thus, I.E restarted. However, when I got back, my saved game was apparently gone.
Also, I was in a random battle... against four wasps. xD
Besides this problem, however, I've been enjoying the game very very much. ^^

by the way, could you make a posebility to change the keys, since some of the players (such as me) have an european keyboard where Z is on the place you have the Y so i often have to change position of my hand

There is a solution that works for me, by pressing simultaneously alt and shift, my keyboard switches from azerty to qwerty, that may work for you

Also: when going into the 'character details' portion of the character information screen, you can't get out, and the sound freezes, and all of the buttons cease functioning. This was experienced the 'day' after the bandit sequence.

Furthermore, when I get into the game, everything has been reset except the tresure chests.

I'm just going to make a line of my complaints here as they come up. Soothwood has repeatedly crashed Safari (3 times).

I'm having trouble loading a previously saved game (an autosave created within this game). The 'load' option on the main menu showed up grey.
