Well! It's been QUITE a while since I last drew anything for the sake of it which I thought was worth submitting here!I've not been drawing AT ALL for the last few months, but I've wanted to get back into it for a while, hoping to improve my skills (which haven't changed significantly in years)...
I'm making a Card Game now in Flash, as a short project, and I want to do the art for all the cards in it, so then I have something to encourage me to draw at all since I can't ever seem to find the time or motivation to draw 'for no reason'.
The 'MF01' refers to the card ID; (Monster)(Fire)(01 in set).
(This took like half an hour, and even despite that, I felt my interest waning very early on... I don't even know if I really find drawing in itself to be FUN, or whether with more practice it could *become* fun. Hmm.)

I've got this weird feeling that this piece is going to attract one of those nitpicks who judges art badly because he can see the lines.
Send a few of these guys after 'em though. They should leave you alone after being burnt to cinders.
But on the other hand, they are tenacious, cruel, they live in the shadows, and they enjoy the taste of the insecurities of others, so they might still come back

I've always enjoyed art by connecting with what I draw.. I wonder if you find it hard to relate to the things you draw because they don't have human eyes, so they lack human-esque expressions? Just drawing something with a smile is more enjoyable, making little temporary lives and personalities. For me, anyway.

Hmm... interesting. I don't think that way about art... I'd find it embarrassing or awkward to draw human-like things or even creatures with anthropomorphism, probably because I feel awkward in general about other people...
I seem to prefer drawing 'unusual' things, and it makes me glad when I do, but all too often I end up coming up with uninteresting things... which is probably what causes the disinterest.
That, and, uh, mental problems, probably.

Mmm... Slight Schizoid/Avoidant Personality Disorder? And maybe a bit of Agoraphobia (no one defines that phobia right.. :/)?
Just took a Psychology course at my local college. Great stuff, always interesting. I think I'm in love
But then, loving a study about people doesn't really surprise me any; I've always found people fascinating, hence my hobby of drawing them all too much.

This one suits me best of all. I like it.
I don't know much about any health concerns you may or may not have, but chronic depression can be a culprit of your disinterest in art.
I speak from experience.

I don't have Depression... though I am certain that a doctor would tell me that I did.
But the main reasons I have reduced interest in art are my lack of ability for one thing (I'm not good at it, so every time I try I fail to do what I want, and it's sort of de-motivating; if I were GOOD and could easily come up with things that I liked the look of, I'd enjoy it more), but also the fact that I have so much other stuff to do on games, etc, that I always feel like I'm wasting time by doing something like art... I also feel this way when playing games or going out walking or anything not immediately productive.
