Sorry, anyway, yeah, Sonic needs to be appealing again, because appeal matters, it was the entire basis of his character: Appealing to all audiences, and not just a certain group. I know a lot of people don't like his attitude, but it's then it's not for them to like, rather then inject this notion he should be changed because a fictional character with attitude hurt their feelings. If that's the case, Raphael from TMNT should get all kinds of hate, but then again, most TMNT fans actually liked them for what they were, and their creators did a better job keeping them straight. Sega of Japan on the other hand, sabotaged everything because they were outdone by Sega of America, and that's probably why the games got some messed up in the first place, why most canons outside the games were handled better and kept straight.
