Description
K, so this is the finished, painted model of a Rebel Snowspeeder from Empire Strikes back. I spent a lot of time trying to "weather" the metal and unfortunately the camera wasn't so kinda (making it extreamly colourful)...but if you see it in real life it looks quite dirty and used. But most importantly of all...it's loads of fun to play with!....and that's all that really matters to me.
Incom T-47 Airspeeder
Type: Quick Strike scout speeder
Crew: 2 Man (Pilot, Gunner)
Flight Ceiling: 175 Kilometers
Max Speed: 570 kph
Weapons: 2 Tiam & Bak KX5 Laser Cannons
1 Tow Cable
Armor: Titanium Reinforced Durasteel Alloy Hull

Good job on this kit. You went a wee bit overboard with the weathering detail, but I'm not going to critisize you, seeing as I've made several models like this myself. (*cough* Scratchbuilt X-Wing *cough*) Still, always good to see another model maker on this site. Kudos!

Cool, some of the weathering actually comes through quite effectively.
I hate photos of models like this, they never do justice to the paint jobs. It's also really hard to get the focus on them, as often, they are wee and small.

Awesome! Leave it to you to get so detailed! That rocks; looks like it's from the movie!
Do you make the spaceship noises when you play with it? Just wondering from my own experience...

Of course....would you expect me to do it any other way?? I even make the spaceship noises when I don't have an actual ship to play with...

did you make the whole thing out of something or is it an old toy that you re painted?

Nah, it's a model kit...so I put the whole thing together and gave it a good paint.
I actually used quite a bit of cante to "weather" it with though. You just scrape it off into a pile of dust, put some on a dry brush and then lightly brush it on.
