What else is there to do while idling away the hours in a forest?Actually, while doing this, it reminded me of this group of old Chinese men who meet down a few blocks from where I live every morning to play Chinese chess. There's always a crowd of them looming over the pair who are playing (of which there are only two or three) and all offering their advice and comments at once.

This is a tremendous piece. I LOVE it because it is so traditional illustration. Composition reminds me of Arthur Rackham. You amaze me. Great use of color. The only thing I would say is that your line weight is all the same and there wasn't a really a focal point for me. I had to concentrate to focus. But overall very nice!

The repitition of the textures in the piece is stunning. My eye is led down the trees right to the oranges and reds of the other characters. I know it's been said so many times already, but your skill in handling watercolor is simply incredible. You must have a lot of patience!
Yellow and violet happen to be my favorite compliment, and it really keeps me wanting to stay in this scene. That said, yes, I do feel involved in this piece. I can practically feel those trees towering over me as well, like I'm some little creature in the forest. This is definitely one of my favorite pieces in your gallery. Very enchanting. So many details to pour over...

WOW! i love it, it reminds me or the ents in lord of the rigns yet or the talking trees in one of the narnia books......i cant believe that anyone can do that its so real yet unreal it seems impossibile to do so it feels as if im in a dream world because of your paintings they are incredible i just cant believe it!!!!!!
