What else is there to do while idling away the hours in a forest?Actually, while doing this, it reminded me of this group of old Chinese men who meet down a few blocks from where I live every morning to play Chinese chess. There's always a crowd of them looming over the pair who are playing (of which there are only two or three) and all offering their advice and comments at once.

This is one of the pictures from your gallery I like best, especially the dynamics and motions of the branches, the spring-like green and yellow colours, and the attending foxes and birds. Also, the idea of putting a chessboard on the back of a turtle is just awesome, because of course the game is the world. Lovely!

Wow...the details are so amazing. There are so many little hidden things in the art and unexpected surprises...the birds everywhere, the etchings and human-like "bone structure" in some of the trees, the turtle which holds up the chess board, the little foxes...
Amazing work.
And I have no clue how you manage to use yellow and purple watercolors together without ending up with mud. Yer amazing. 0_o

I have a question: how do you achieve that fatastic circle/bubble/backrun/whatever effect in your watercolor paintings?
Do you use alcohol? Sprinkling of water? Everytime I see that in your pics I find it very puzzling

instant fav! i'm a fan of yours! yea, i know what you mean by old ppl watching a pair of old ppl playing chess. i don't know if they do give advices and stuff, most of the time i spot them looking at the chess board for quite a long time without moving anything. but they were fun to watch, as if they were immersed in their own world.
