excellent paintwork, but i especially love the dynamic poses you've created there, mainly the Terminator issuing a challenge with his thunder hammer, priceless!

Thanks ^^
It always struck me as odd to have that arm holding a hammer like that, the way it does on in the box. Rather make something good out of it.

Nice. Might put a bit more paint on the blue (even it out) but nice to see another DA army, and an alternate color one as well. The models themselves look great.

That's one of the few things I actually have to look into. But I'm postponing it each time, lol.
6 more models until I have 6 squads full, then... I'll probably do all bases at once.
Thanks though

I know how that goes, think I had around 40 tactical/vets before I decided they needed their bases finished

It's an "official" Space marines chapter, but thanks anyway

Good work overall, but the chaplain especially is sweet!

Thanks
I'm quite happy how he turned out. Making black not look too flat was a challenge. Yes, I could do with extreme highlighting and all, but I rather just keep the surfaces a bit lighter instead of the edges.

Yes, painting black and making it look good is rather difficult. I'm still experimenting around myself with different techniques.

What I did was a full cover of Adeptus Battlegrey (old GW range foundation; so you might need to look into the new ones), then did a full Nuln oil wash. Let it dry. Then dillute Chaos black (guess the substitute now is Abaddon black) and dillute that and trace the corners and recesses a bit to let that sink in. Eventually do another full on black wash afterwards.
I found that Battlegrey combined with a few black washes gives a rather smooth "not entirely black but really dark greyish tone".
