Behold, the new headlock for Seraphim and Neva!
Learnt this trick from fellow doll maker Enid-art . Since my fox girls have both a human head and a fox head, I was looking for something to make switching heads easier, without any fragile screw-on parts, clicky bits, magnets or the need for re-stringing tools.
Also handy if you just want to adjust something about the head (like the eyes or the face-up).

For sculptors: if the bottom of the head of your doll is thick enough, you could also just sand/file/dremel/cut out the lock. However, my doll is rather large and heavy and will therefore have quite some string tension, so I chose to build a dam/ridge to add extra strength.
