It is truly an exquisite shot, however it would maybe look better with the waterdroplet in focus.
Yet I understood why you did it as shown above, staying true to the concept you had in mind.

Thanks! I wanted to have a glass-like texture to the drop to abstract it a bit and hopefully keep it from being instantly recognizable as a water droplet. I sorta see it as a technical trade-off in pursuit of a certain concept or look.
I appreciate the critique though!

Hmm, I can see that...but better to shoot it sharp and then maybe a bit of gaussian blur in post or something like that...rockin
