A few of the scientists in one of the city shelters came up with a potentially life saving idea. With predators invading and picking the streets clean, they need something to protect anyone unfortunate enough to be swallowed alive. They thought of how a life preserver saves someone from drowning: the flotation device cant prevent someone from falling in the water, but they can keep them afloat and alive in the water so they can be rescued.

The solution was a suit that cant be digested. It seems almost fool proof: if the acid cant touch the skin, then the person will be fine. Tests showed progress; the material wasn't dissolving when soaked in acid. They just needed a full scale test. They found a predator, they found a 'volunteer', and then they threw them in a room together. Of course, the scientists didn't tell the 'volunteer' what would happen. The poor guy had no idea until it was simply too late to opt out.

Results were... unexpected and undesired.

And don't worry about the human guinea pig: Rae is a special predator that allows prey to reform even after digestion. That guy is completely safe, but know one really knows that. They'll be in for a shock when that guy returns to work in a week. Lets hope the scientists realize that its Rae doing the reforming and not the guy: feed him to something else and he probably wont be making a surprise appearance again...
