Description I have decided to redesign my Gobots Animated works. The reason for this is I wasn't entirely happy with the originals because I felt they didn't really capture the Transformers Animated look, especially compared to my new Rock Lords works. The main aims were to simplify and stylise, with the shading methods and linework being more akin to Transformers Animated. Back then when I did the originals it should be noted I was pretty new to colouring with Photoshop so hopefully these are better. Also the character sheet itself has been simplified, so no headshot or floating weapons, and I think it looks more impressive and less cluttered as a result. Please fullview and comments are welcome!

Here is the original for comparison:

For Small Foot, I wanted to make her even more cutesy and with an Anime influence to emphasise her as a cute kid sidekick to be pals with Scooter. I'm very pleased how this one turned out, one of my faves, tho it should be considering how long it took to colour!

Firstly, I'm loving your updated takes on Gobot redesigns.  Makes me want to see a rebooted Gobots cartoon and toy line.  Gobots was pretty underrated, and though I preferred the Transformers toys and cartoon, I felt the Gobots cartoon handled the female characters a LOT better.  Small Foot and Crasher were two of my favorites as a kid.

Your take on Small Foot is beautifully drawn and I can see how she would transform.  I'm not feeling her being a small car and having an overly feminine design, though.  What I liked about Small Foot back in the day was that she was an impetuous and rough 'n tumble tomboy who did not look super feminine.  That tomboyishness and her not looking girly was her charm to me and that made her cool, so I would have liked to see her as a 4x4 mud truck (pickup truck that can go offroad) here too.  I do agree with you, though, that there were too many red Gobots (like Sparky), so I'm cool with her being yellow here, especially since mud splatter can look cool on a yellow truck.

I think this version veers too far away from the original concept of the character and makes her too much like a feminized Animated Bumblebee clone. The reason she's called "Small Foot" after all is that it's a play on the "Big Foot" type of monster pickup trucks, "small" coming to mean "normal/non-monster" in her case.

Also, part of Small Foot's charm is her being a spunky tomboy. This version is too girly. Her vehicle mode, a 4x4 pickup truck, reflects her outgoing, out-in-the-country, not-afraid-to-get-dirty-while-cruising personality as well.

With this one I have the same issues as with the previous version, but do note I still like it
