I just started playing HL2 EP2 and I was totally struck where the part Alyx got kill by the hunter, and got me emotional, then I thought, what if the Vortigaunt didn't came...But then again, if the Vortigaunt didn't came, then Gordon would be dead as well....
oh well, I just want to show the emotional feel of the moment

After playing Episode 2, this shows perfect emotion. The developers thought up the exact thing you thought, which made the game more immersive, which makes Half-life more fun to play. This is kinda spoiler, but it's sort of pain in the neck to revive her unless you use the invincibilty cheat (guilty) but it's worth it. Now that the critic in me is ready to burst, I'm kind of uncomfortable with Gordon's legs. Other than that, everything screams emotion. You waiting for those creeps to show up for your dead babe. And trust me, it gets more emotional and sometimes mindfucky.

But seriously, this just makes me feel cold in the inside. Perhaps if this was to actually happen in the game,
maybe "MINERVA" would have taken Alyx's role after her unfortunate death.
If you don't know who MINERVA is, she is aΒ SHODAN-esque entity who communicates through radio text
messages, providing guidance and direction, and while not entirely detached she does show some
compassion.
