I'll prove her that she's wrong

Before CBE performs an "upgrade", he slips out a photo of his deceased daughter who died of a cardiovascular cancer, he once had a family, a daughter and a wife, he was so desperate of curing her daughter that he concluded that his "inventions" could fix her, but his wife was horribly terrified of the idea that his husband would open up his own daughter and put a machine inside of her. One night, his wife took her daughter with her and went far away from the intelligently unstable husband. Then one day, the engineer was informed that his daughter died weeks after the run away incident, and now, whenever he look at his daughter's photo, he seeks to prove his wife wrong that his machines can fix a human being, and maybe he can make them even better.
