Oh boy it's been a while since my last "rough painting"!
At the very start, it was supposed to be a speedpainting, but it took me about 3 hours to finish it...
Here is the mighty LAGIACRUS, one of my favorite beasts from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate! (Not a relevant MH3U emoticon but still awesome)
This is also the first painting where I didn't use the finger tool in a while! Just the regular brush, nothing more^^
I'm quite happy with the result, in the end it turns out to be a mix of a speedpainting and a study x)

This artwork is absolutely stunning. It catches the eye and there's no way you can escape the forces at work in this image. The lineart is simple but clear. The light is amazingly straight and properly managed. The colors choices are just right. You can feel the abyss of a dark and cold water by the colors and it gives you some terrifying but great chills...And the added strenght is the blurry effect on the tail which bring the action to your sight and you can feel it. You feel that powerful wave coming at you like a hurricane and it leaves you with only despair. In that way, the feeling of fighting a giant and terrifying monster is brilliantly transcribed ! My only critique is...maybe you should have put broken and falling rocks to add more epicness to the epic. And thanks to that, the strenght of this artwork could have been accentuated. XD Honestly I thought it'd take me forever to finish it, but I wanted it to be almost a speedpainting, so I guess 3 hours is a good ratio for such a beast^^
