Daily Deviation Edit: I had a higher rez, newer file that I uploaded when I got the DD. The old one is in my scraps.
thanks everyone!was playing around in zbrush to do some renders. Gun is 90% modeled, mostly tweaks are needed to fix it up.
the gun is a grenade launcher as well. The grenades are housed in inside the outer bullet ring of the clip.
both projectiles are propelled faster when the barrel of the gun is filled with a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen causing the bullet to travel at much faster speed.
the guns stock extends and the internal mechanical workings and timing mechanics are under the main armor flap, gun settings are under the smaller flap.
the gun premise is similar to a Tommy gun, but because of the high accuracy, the stock can be extended and a tactical stand can be slid out to snipe long range.

It looks like it could do so much more than shoot bullets lasers and grenades... it also looks like a transformable, expandable carrying-case! And with ALL that detail who knows all else that could be inside it!

Super cool design (I faved) but a note in response to the Daily Deviation comment about it looking functional.
Largely I agree, and from and artistic or just "plain ole badass" standpoint I cannot fault it. But as a shooter and a soldier, I know that the stock would not function properly with that inward curve on the bottom. Even with a low-recoil round it would cause the stock to roll out of the shoulder pocket or jar enough to change your sight picture. This is mostly due to how flush the optic is with the frame of the weapon, as you would have to rest the lower part of the stock in the shoulder pocket in order to look through it comfortably. I understand this probably isn't a major concern with the concept you're going for but just wanted to put my constructive 2 cents in. I hope it wasn't too much ^_^

With that organic appearance, you could put that gun into the game Portal and it wouldn't look the least bit out of place. I love it; keep up the good work.

Thats pretty cool.. Though I imagine carrying magazines of that size would be a bit of a pain, and the lazer sight should have a button near the trigger so the operator can turn it on just as he/she fires it, and the swich on the unit itself should be inlayed so it cant be accidently manipulated in combat. Still it makes a pretty beleivable OICW concept. The fact I can quasi gun nut nit pick it is proof of its beleivablity.

Love the design though it looks as though you can't reload grenades without removing the clip for the regular ammunition. Also about the gases in the barrel love the idea but I would just use regular helium rather than a mix of oxygen and hydrogen for 2 reasons 1. Helium would be less dense than a combo of the other two therefore provide less resistance to the bullet upon firing 2. oxygen and hydrogen are flammable and its not a good idea to have an explosion in front of the bullet which would hamper its firing and make one hell of a muzzle flash.

It's so beautiful and well thought out. That bottom grip better be comfy though because this looks very front-heavy. The cute emblem (Hello Kitty) is always a good touch. I hope it wouldn't get caught in the machinery!

If I may add a few maybe usefull comments
It looks way too clean. Idk if it's supposed to be a used gun, if it is, i would recommend adding some scratches on the glass, as well as on the barrel. Also, the handle might need some finger inprints, it's way too smooth for something that would have been used a lot

Not sure that the ammo capacity/huge-ass mag is very efficient, but it sure does look pretty snazzy! Maybe if the bullets spiraled inward a bit to up the capacity. Either way, the exploded view vid was really impressive! Great work!
