...Rainbow Brite?"Child stars often fall pretty hard and Rainbow Brite was the queen/goddess/guardian of her own world. She fell on hard times, went through some drug stuff, stripped for a few years and after a hard rehab, changed her look to goth/punk and her name to Spectra Darke.
She dropped out of her life as liegewoman of Rainbow Land amid allegations that she had murdered Murky Dismal and a baby given up for adoption.
Now, cleared of the murder and clean and sober, she is returning to Rainbow Land for a new start."

Honestly, I can't remember. I think I was chatting with a friend and they brought up something about one of "those where are they now?" kind of shows in reference to... maybe the care bears or something. I said, "You know who'd be even more tragic? Rainbow Bright!"
The rest just kinda wrote itself.
