deadmau5 says "COME AT ME BRO"If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you know I'm a deadmau5 fan as of this month. And when I'm a fan of things, I'm a fan of things.
So here. Have a mau5 with a Super Hammer. deamau5 is a gamer, so I thought the hammer would be appropriate. I was going to give him a Minecraft sword, but I got frustrated with making pixels look painterly. So Nintendo Hammer it is.
As for the text, it looks nice and I needed to appear to be doing graphic design work in order to keep my teacher away. I didn't want her to take my iPod D: We're not supposed to listen to music in school, but I do anyway. In three of my four classes.
Critiques would be appreciated. I want this looking good for Animazement. And if someone can help me with his hands, I'd be very happy. A redline would be favorite.

I'm also in love with Skrillex, Wolfgang Gartner, and Bassnectar, but they don't have cool stage things for me to draw. As far as I know.
Plus, I'm a little bit afraid of Skrillex's hair.

There is something mesmerizing about the talking LED mau5head that goes "sometimes things get complicated". It's half scary and half OH MAN I WANT IT.

[EDIT] Fixed his arms and hammer. Switched his hands on the hammer handle because the way they were would be very uncomfortable. Unless Joel is a lefty. Is he?
Added my personal watermark, because I didn't like dA's watermark plastered all over his crotch.
[EDIT] Changed ears again. They're rounder and have a more matte look to them.

haha, I only relate it to that because of, well, EXTREMELY DIRECT relation 8D I watched the Epic meal time episode where they made a meat cthulhu out of mince and squids, then completey devoured it on stage at a Deadmau5 concert while wearing cultist robes :,D during the whole video this song was pounding away in the background

Oh my god I watched it and it was beautiful. Actually, I should say them. There were three Epic Mau5 Time occurrences I could find. One with Joel actually shopping, cooking, and eating with them. One with them making the meat and squid Cthulhu, and another with Epic Meal Time onstage at a concert, eating squids and throwing things while deadmau5 provides awesome music. Oh, and another that is a clip from the deadmau5 ustream, in which Joel proclaims the Epic Meal Time he helped to create "kind of gross, actually".
What I want to know is: How the fuck can I not have found this sooner? Epic Meal Time and deadmau5 are two of my favorite things, and I'm on YouTube almost as much as I'm on dA and Cracked.com

I drew a huge deadmau5 on my desk in my first period forensics class. They're those black science tables that show graphite really well. It looked soooo legit.

sounds awesome. i got into his stuff a few weeks back and it really inspired a character i'd been working on fleshing out for a while for a story i;m working on, but i was stuck on the costume for a long ass amount of time. till today when i started sketching and finally got something awesome and original enough, yet is still an homage to deadmau5's logo. it felt pretty awesome for sure.

the length of the arm was a bit off haha but that happens so much with this sort of posing, the best way to remember how to keep the elbow at the right length is that it sits usually right on the natural waist line. Whereas here it looked like it would have sat at about the hip!
Also the hands are a wee bit off, the front one is pretty good though the thumb seemed to disappear? or maybe I'm just dumb...but the second hand was a bit too little and was curled too tightly around the hammer handle, making it look like it was smaller where that hand set than the rest of the handle. Uhm so just basically define the fingers a bit more, maybe spread them out a little? and make them a bit thicker :>
