I was going to color this, but I quite liked it in grayscale. I may still color it later. I was also going to do something with the background, but this looked best.Yay! Doctor Who fanart
If you don't already know, this is from the 2010 Christmas Special, Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol. There are floating fish.Used my own hand, several pictures of the sonic screwdriver, and a picture of a random fish in a book for reference. It is not easy to draw your own right hand, let me tell you.

A small critique on the episode:
1. Really liked the idea of flying fish and the scrooge.
2. Shark spoilt it, I wanted the creatures on alien worlds to be more....well...alien!

Amusing! Good detail! Most of the time if I am drawing a hand or any pose and need some reference, I just ask one of my roommates or friends to pose. Most of my roommates and friends are artist, so sometimes they ask me pose too for them.
I don't make much fanart either. But out of the fanart I did make, the most popular one in my gallery is the Doctor Who one that only took me 10 minutes to make. I find it amusing that people still hunt down that image in my gallery.

Maybe you can get some people at college to pose for you sometimes when you're at college. At lot of people in the animation department at SCAD would pose for me sometimes. And they were amusing sometimes.

I quite like it. If you did any color, perhaps just the tip/glow of the sonic. everything else can stay gray scale. I liked the episode a lot, it was sweet.

It's easy to draw your right hand if you are left handed, like me! I really like, you should to a colour, then a really detailed, that would be really cool. Excellent job, too. Fish-a-pretty. Nive, love it!

There's a good reason I stay away from drawing people, but I've made myself do it becuase it's just too funny. I drew chibi people, whichtend to look really quite good in memes. I think you could do it fine.

No it's the faces. They always look weird and I kind of hate drawing humans in general. I can do realistic pencil portraits if given a model/reference and a lot of time, but I have trouble converting a real face into a cartoony face and actually making the person I'm drawing look decent and be recognizable.
