Description
A Red Deer stag in the rutting season letting his voice be heard. The weather can't put me off, it was a little rainy, so I was sat under a tree this morning with my camera.
After much thought I've Re-edited using On1 Phototools 2.0 plugin for Photoshop.
I didn't want to do it after having a Daily deviation already with this shot, but I think I've improved the punchiness of the image.
If anyone disagrees let me know please.

Wow! I've never heard the call of a stag. I can imagine by staring at this remarkable photo that it is quite loud!

I saw and favourited this back when it had a DD, and i just came back to it and was taken all over again by the beauty of this shot. In some instances, animals may show emotion much more effectively than even humans can, and this is a great example of that. He's crying his heart out. Just a great shot, one of my favourites on all of dA. You're a genius XD I wish i could fav 100 more times.

The deer here are accustomed to humans being in quite close proximity to them.

Shows, its worth dropping by people's galleries every now and then just in case. It would have been a real shame to have missed this one completely.
