Thanks! I am a fan of trees. It probably has something to do with the complete lack thereof here in the desert. I love the forest, but rarely get to go there.

I know how you feel, where I lived before in Ohio it was so green and there was a lot of trees, now here in Nevada its mostly just desert.

I seriously doubt that, but thanks anyway. Let's also remember that I had had a whole year of learning painting techniques with other mediums before I did this so it wasn't like a spontaneous thing, either. This was just my first painting using oils. (Which are awesome, they work so much better than all the other painting mediums!)

Thank you! I've done a bit of traveling, and I absolutely love going to the forests and camping there. I live in the desert and hate it. So I really appreciate the beautifull clear, fresh, cool air. All the trees rustling together in the breeze...

I agree with you there. I'm from Finland so we've got quite a lot forests - I don't always remember to appreciate it, but it's still always quite nice and refreshing. Yet we don't have any mountains, so I always look forward seeing those..

Thank you! This is when I decided that I am crazy about oil painting. I'm glad you like the cliffs. I spent over a week painting them while I spent only a few days on the trees and grass. No me gusto painting rocks.
