Description So I spent a little time doing this in GIMP to get to know my tablet better.Β I tried to use the same colour palette.Β 

I did some few screw-ups with the airbrush tool especially related to the hard, rough and uneven outline, and the shading is a bit off, but at least it is done!

Look at it this way: They're putting in all the stuff that was supposed to be in Doom 1 but got cut. It's like we finally get the alpha in a finished form. The "ripping a guy's hand off & using it as a biometric key" thing comes to mind. It also stands that "Oh, shit" is also good because of the Brutal Doom stuff that was incorporated.

Brutal Doom is a mod. They could just as well have used Selfie Doom (or even HDoom) and it still wouldn't be cannon.

All I wanted was a graphical update to Doom 2 (yes I know there's Serious Sam). Nothing more.

You realize that the mod they took cues from happens to make the classic gameplay become how you remember it rather than keeping like it was. The "alpha revisitation" still stands.
