Please help me out! igg.me/at/catmouf :3It took me ages...
This is one of the cities I use for my upcoming comic "Lemon 3". (When that comic's finished, only the birds know...)
The background was mostly made in Painter 7.0, the text was imported from Photoshop CS, and Maja was inked by pen, scanned, and CG-ed in Photoshop.

This is absolutely stunning, incredible, fantastic and million other adjectives. I can feel every inch of that city. It's not just a lot of detail you've created but something I could smell and touch -- live in. Classy choice of perspective to view it from as well.... gah, I seriously can't believe how real it is. It's seeped into my subconscious; no perspective shows off the city, it *views* it. And now I'm just rambling, but it really is that fantastic. You've inspired me to have a shot at a cityscape... okay, maybe I'm too lazy for that. A house, perhaps.

the only thing that bothers me is that she looks as if her front is really her back.. i think some more shading somewhere would work, but i dont know maybe you meant it that way?

Holy crap.... the background looks like it's taken out of some anime like Ghost in the Shell.... I love it! It has the Hong Kong industrial area feel to it (it even looks like it)!!! Great job

I like the person, but I absolutely LOVE the background.
It makes me kind of dizzy, it's so real looking. Very atmospheric, and this may sound cheesy, but I can almost feel the mist.

how long does it take you to make a background? I don't want to say too much and make this seem like more then it is. I have an animation project (more like an idea that I am developing). I am still a Junior in College, but I am going to study in animation studios after I get out. I want to make a studio eventually. This is going to be years from now, but it would be great if we could keep in touch. I don't know anybody that can do backgrounds nearly as well as you. Also if you are interested in hearing about the project I have a bunch of stuff I have typed out so far. The sketches need work, but I can send those too. I would be more then willing to e-mail it to you.
