Description
This is a map I did for [link] who has an alternate Star Trek TL ( located here [link] ). It's his Star Trek World of the Future: there's a united Earth government, but it's apparently a fixup sort of thing, with different states and groupings joining at different times and under different conditions, rather than a standardized arrangement like the OTL USA. The map shows the various states, federations, etc. under the Aegis of the world government.Related content

I wonder how they dealt with all the pollution...

Somehow, this map does seem plausible in the Star Trek TL.

My Polarisverse stands between the canon TZrekverse and the Mirror universe. Leaning more toward the Trekverse. The Earth is United, but not the globalized monoculture. For example, First Fleeters (Earth's own Stellar Navy) still proudly wear their national banners next to the UE colours.

Hmm...I got the feeling from the Canon Trekverse that (from the human characters, who show among others American, Scottish or French origins) Earth isn't much of a globalized monoculture either. Then again, I also got the feeling that a good chunk of humanity shown is American-derived...

Of course, it's an American show, so the first-viewers would like to see Americans. In the derived works, other nations represent themselves. E.g., the main crew of my Polaris are: A Hungarian (the Captain), a Russian Jew (Tac officer/XO), a native American (Chief engineer), English (Science officer), German (Comm/Intelligence officer), Spanish (Helmsman) and White American (CMO).

Sounds rather Euro-centric.
Are Asia and Africa still too underdeveloped or do they focus on something else than Starfleet?

No, It's simple: I'm a European.

Makes much more sense. It also seems reminiscent of Babylon 5, really. Especially since the setup is also pretty similar.

But really, for your work, you deserve reward!
I really like Red Antarctiva. I think it's not a Soviet protectorate, but belonging to those who became disillusioned in Human nation-states post-WWIII and started a new living in the ice. They and their descendants became the later colonizers. And if you ever see some "too perfect" people walking there... well, nobody could tell how many Augments survived on the outskirts of civilization.
And seeing Hungary like that... call me an irredentist, but it's such a pleasing sight

Yeah, it's supposed to be a lefty Soviet ally rather than a protectorate.

Germany getting Pommeria and East-Prussia, surviving South Vietnam, not surviving Israel. Some unusal ideas.
