Hello, every single 1 of u. I return after a time of "oh dang I am not making art", mainly due to making art in traditional mediums rather than digital, but I did put this together over the course of a few days.

  This is a very new/recent OC I have built as part of the 2074 series posted here a lot. I have been trying to get into backgrounds so choose something simple to put in place to keep back the white void. This is Nova Witherbloom, a Corruption Warlock and if I remember correctly, the first and only character that I've featured here that is part of the Corruption faction. They are the main bad guys in 2074, being the dudes that returned after 6000 years of hiding in order to wage war against humanity and reach peak efficiency of the life cycle.
  But they're while they are the Bad Guys, they are not entirely "bad" guys. They follow a code of recruitment that can be simplified down to "the best option". They pay high and consistent living wages, give benefits, healthcare, flexible and fair working hours, individualized meal plans, free provided housing, food, gyms, and health coaching, complete tolerance of race, sex, religion, nationality, and background, subsidized education, free counseling for all mental, emotional, financial, legal, familial, domestic, and job issues, the benefits go on and on. The only thing they need from you, is your soul and a yearlong transition period from human to Corrupted. This will allow you to join them in the Collective, the telepathic network that connects all corrupted to one another mentally.
  But don't worry, the Collective is not a true hivemind, you still retain memories and skills, it's completely unconscious! You'll barely even notice how your actions perfectly synchronize with your co-workers, you start to slowly become more and more disconnected from your former friends, family, and lifestyle, how you just happen to get lucky on how to strike up a conversation and friendship with your fellow corrupted buddies while having teamwork that usually would take years of practice and exposure to accomplish. From your eyes, it's just the best thing ever! Close new friends, great bosses, the best shape your body has ever been in, probably even some stable and lasting romance, and a new outlook on life as you know it. Now that you're all set up and piping to expand Corruption and the influence of the Collective, you and your co-workers can now go blow up the moon for us and we'll take care of the rest, happy battles!

Enough of Corruption, this is Nova Witherbloom, a Warlock-class Corrupted in service within the Corruption armed forces. Every human that undergoes transformation into one of the corrupted starts at an Initiate level, not fully human, not fully corrupted. After this transformation is complete, they are transformed into one of 4 "classes" that are based on their former human skills, backgrounds, and body types. One such class is the Warlock class, the humans with the ability to use magic at a significant level who then learn how to wield Corruption Magic, the source of their power with many anomalous affects that allows them to boost their own and allies' abilities while destroying their opponents with explosions, fire, and lightning (but purple).
Nova was part of a splintered family, one with a history of witchcraft and wizardry while the other that was part of a business venture, brought together out of a need for cash. At around 14 she learned of her own magical abilities. During the 2nd Eclipse she was separated from her family during the battle and was taken in by one of the Corrupted that was tasked at taking down the local government of her city, and saw her potential. Becoming her mentor, she officially joined Corruption after a few years of practice and the transformation. In the year 2074, she is a highly proficient warlock and mage, excelling in her field while maintaining a humble and cool attitude. Enjoying gothic classical music, herbalism, classic literature, and all things black.

Pushing further into backgrounds, this one was quite simple, but I needed practice for character sheets and drawing with more detail using a smaller brush size than I usually do. Quite easy to put together and put out two outfit variants instead of just making one thing, on the next go around I want to include some facial expressions and more, but the process was a bit clunky and will be improved in future drawings.
