It looked like their evening alone would need to be cut short.

What started off as a dreamy evening walk along the edges of the Emerald Forest had quickly dissolved back into reality as the stench of their enemy grew near. These villains no longer feared the borders of Riverfell and seemed to be pushing further and further into the territory. Shiloh could not be certain how many were nearby and would take no chances. Urging Alice into the snowy brush beneath towering pine trees, she quickly retraced their steps and dusted the ground with her tail in an effort to eliminate their footprints as much as possible. Hot breath clouded her nose and face as she dove beneath the trees, positioning herself between Alice and the gap between the branches. Hackles and lips rose as the crunching of footsteps hinted the Hive wolves were coming closer. And closer.

"Is it them...?" whispered Alice from the darkness behind her.

The girls have a brush with the Hive! This takes place after Shiloh and Nimh took on a group of Hive wolves just beyond Riverfell's borders . Things are really ramping up and Riverfell's young alpha will need to make a decision on what the pack's next move should be. Can she risk the lives of her family in pursuit of the Hive? Or is her desire to keep them all safe putting them in more danger with each passing day...?
