"Young Myuna, a pup traveling within the ranks of Nioka's rogue band, had wandered a bit further from the group than she was told to. They were positioned upon the outskirts of Dholvar's borders, beyond the chain of mountains that seperated their lands from their enemy's (map=[link] ), and were preparing to make camp for the night. The group had journeyed into Dholvar to try and stop an attack that was rumored to occur upon Vaelnir within the next few days.

Myuna's innocent games (that involved swatting at deadland grasshoppers and chasing moths) had led her towards a rather ominous-looking sandstorm that seemed to have spawned from the darkness brought by the setting sun. As the growls of the sandstorm neared, it was not long before she realized...it was not the sand that threatened her. From within the walls of dust and whirling, dead earth, came the glow of over twenty sets of eyes. The leader of the enemy group revealed himself to Myuna, while his soldiers remained behind him. They stared at her hungrily and were hoping for a snack before their assault the following morning. But just as their leader stepped forth, as did Myuna's. As the young pupling cowered in fear, her eyes glistening with tears, she heard a growl from behind her. Nioka stepped forth, face hidden by his scarred mask, eyes focused upon the enemy. He stepped between the Aivandorian band and Myuna, shielding her tiny body from their sights, and prepared to fight."

Oh yeah baby. Isn't this just my pride and joy? I worked on this pic for a good 15+ hours (on and off, surprisingly). I envisioned everything one night while listening to FF7's battle music (which I'm now thoroughly sick of..xD). I was going for that "movie shot" look I see other people do, but I don't really think I did that great of a job on that...but, regardless of whether or not it worked, it was still a lot of fun. I had some trouble making the background/ground look believable when I first started working on those elements, so I cheated and used a photo. Of course, I editted it so it would work better with the pic. And, as if I'm not ashamed of that, I also used the nifty grass stamp in PS 7. Omg. SO BAD. But I really wanted a certain feel for the background, a certain look...I knew I couldn't do it myself and make it look good, so I cheated and I'm bad. Just know I claim no credit for the photo to myself. *firm nod*

ANYWAY. Yes, much fun, MUCH work, totally worth it. I have another pic I'm working on involving Nioka, but I need to do some trade artz first. @_@ And see see that's what the Aivandorians are going to look like. x_X! They're like...big, bad, cursed/possessed versions of the Murai! OMG. And yes, this ENTIRE THING was done with a tablet and PS 5.5 and 7. Whoa.
