This is Jade the little white basilisk from Thesilentswordsman 's HP fanfic which involves Harry having dragon's blood and falling madly in love with Hermione. It's pretty good if you are into a HP fic now and again. Jade is the offspring of the basilisk we know and love from the chamber. The larger male basilisk is a hypothetical unnamed character from a hypothetical HP fic that I will probably never write. He's not just unnamed, he doesn't actualy have a name for himself. I'll just call him Lisky for now.
The similarities between Lisky and Jade just keep piling up as the fic is written, it's quite creepy. Anyway; I thought I'd do a picture of them both together for the lulz.
I'm not really clear on how big Jade is, but Lisky is about 2m long and he's five years old.

I think I'd be okay with that. You don't have to credit me this time because this art is uh.. nearly 10 years old, but if you're using it somewhere online with a lot of people it might be a good idea anyway just to avoid someone yelling "ART THEFT" at you.
If you're making IRL money off the graphic though, I'm not cool with that and I'd prefer you didn't use it. Hope that's understandable, and best of luck with your clothing-making!

Looking at this, one of the first thigs that sprung to my mind was: what would happens if a basilisk sees another basilisk's eyes? I'd usually think they'd be immune to it since being affected by their own gazes wouldn't make for a very productive species, but Basilisks in Harry Potter aren't exactly naturally-bred...

The portrayal of snakes as generically evil within the Harry Potter series always left a bad taste in my mouth, especially since Rowling clams that her books promote tolerance...
