Description
Late-night smashing out semi-fail of a Dentaquill. Don't worry, most of my watchers will have no idea what that is and that's ok that way. Suffice to say they're a creature that appeared in an extremely vivid and influential dream of mine many years ago, and they've become part of my own personal nonsensical world of symbols.This is also the first digital picture of mine where I looked at it and really thought: "Hey! I'm going to art school!" lololol look at its educated scribbly artsy-ness...
May be scrapped soon.
Edit: GAAAWD DAMNIT I knew there was something wrong... I forgot the shoulder quills. GUH.

The dream was really specific about the red and blue, and the quills. The last few and scarce coloured pictures I've done of dentaquills were a lot softer in colour, but on this one my colour selector sort of slipped and I rolled with it. The effect is interesting and really fits the movement in my head, but I don't think I'll go there again.
Grrrrr why do dreams have to be so hard to depict? Spoony, how do you do it? Not fair... :I

Thank you! The impressions of the Dentaquills in the dream were mostly of movement and single details, and I think I caught the mad way they moved quite well.

You really did! The patterns of blue and red caught me off guard, because when I looked at them I honestly thought the picture was moving! It's a really cool effect, and these Dentaquills you've created look like really cool creatures.
