The Sun is a living, conscious being"The proposition is that Sun is a living, conscious being with an intelligence that dwarfs our own. I am not only suggesting that Sun is a large complex system with some form of self-governing intelligence to it, but also that it is a living being, aware of itself and its place in the universe; that it is fully conscious and communicates with other conscious beings at its own level, and other levels; that its consciousness is so far beyond what we enjoy that it could be accorded deity status of a high order, and be recognized as a conscious being by atheists and agnostics, whatever spin they put on it.
As staggering as this proposition might seem, it is hardly novel, and was once held as a near universal belief or understanding in most parts of the globe. It is possible that generations of Neolithic peoples, the ancient Sumerians, Chaldeans, and Assyrians, the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Maya, Inca, Aztec, and the ancient Celts and Native Americans were not completely deluded. Beautiful! Completely jealous Β  Cant wait to get out from under LA's night sky and into the desert to try some of these kinds of shots. Well done.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. But I imagine living in LA you would get some pretty amazing night time cityscape shots which would almost make up for not being able to see the stars

Is this a stacked image or is it just a single 30 sec exposure? If the latter, how the hell did you compensate for the earth's rotation? Regardless, it is a beautiful shot, absolutely love it.Β

Questavia In reply to guiseppe [2013-09-10 08:29:21 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, I'm glad you like my photograph . This is a single exposure, if you scroll down to the bottom of the page questavia.deviantart.com/art/S… you will see the EXIF data is still there to prove it Basically the wider the lens the more leeway you have concerning the Earths rotation, also the further away from the equator you are the less the rotation factor, and the more powerful camera the the more light you can capture with the least noise and shortest exposure time possible... all these things are a factor. If you were to zoom into this shot by 200% you would see a tiny amount a movement in the stars but it's barely noticeable.

What lens did you use for this?, also im really impressed on the lack of noise that came with an iso of that level because I have that problem when shooting night scenes

Beautiful shot

Thank you Iain, I was using the Canon 15mm fish eye on a 5d mark III, the camera is the reason for the lack of noise it's quite exceptional even at very high ISO's
