Description
These two are SuperNova and Riveter Rose. They're the founding members of the Earth Defense Force, which is basically the Justice League (shhh).

SuperNova is basically Superman (shhhhhh) down to being found and raised by kindly farmers. He's just a bit more alien (with his weirdass digitigrade feet and stripes and looking sort of sunburned all the time) and also not totally invulnerable. I mean it'd be pretty tough to kill him short of hurling him into the sun but he's had a couple of serious head injuries over the years that are kind of fucking with his memory.

(Also Fun Fact: the "disaster" that resulted in him being rocketed off into space as an infant was pretty much on par with the Y2K panic but no one knows this. His parents weren't too bright.)

Riveter Rose is a supergenius inventor who actually grew up in an Amish community but left for Metropolis/*generic city setting* when she had a falling out with her dad after independently re-inventing the steam engine. She had a brief stint as a supervillain but realized that was stupid and made way more money legitimately patenting her inventions and fighting crime than she probably could have illegally.

Eventually the two of them met and decided to form Earth's first international Superhero organization. Then they got married. This is their kid: [link] except they're not around for him much because they're too busy being superheroes. He angsts about that a lot.
