The liberation of Titan meant that the NATO Space Force could now focus its efforts on the next EATA Space Force target: Ganymede. On Ganymede, Jupiter's largest moon, there were two outposts: Regio Station (NATO) and Ganymede Outpost One (EATA). Since NATO and EATA presence on Ganymede was small, NATO determined that capturing Ganymede Outpost One was not worth the ground effort as it was easier to simply destroy the outpost from orbit after dealing with the ESF ships.

To conquer Ganymede, the NATO Space Force dispatched the NSF Nuclear Hellstorm and the NSF Caravan to Ganymede. The plan was to launch a saturation attack on the ESF Stellar Screech and the ESF Red Fury. The NSF Caravan would supply the arsenal ship with the fuel needed to cross between Mars and Jupiter and back at continuous maximum thrust. Then the ship would intercept the two EATA ships and fire enough of its arsenal to overwhelm their point-defenses. When their orbits overlapped, the ship did just that. The NSF Caravan turned away from the arsenal ship as it deployed dozens and dozens of torpedoes and kinetic kill vehicles toward its targets. The ESF Stellar Screech and the ESF Red Fury destroyed dozens of torpedoes and kinetic kill vehicles, but not enough. The Red Fury was flashed fried by the nuclear flash of a torpedo and the Stellar Screech's main radiators were punched full of holes by KKVs. This left the captain of the solar lance with no choice but to either flee or die fighting.

With their defeat, came the fall of Ganymede Outpost One as it was nuked from orbit.

Captain's Log: Jason Shepard - NATO Space Force

Date: August 25th, 2060 AD

I just heard back from Captain Shaw of the NSF Nuclear Hellstorm. He said his ship took severe laser damage, but the battle was a success. Ganymede Outpost One has been destroyed. The ESF Red Fury was heavily damaged and forced to surrender while the ESF Stellar Screech fled the system. What cowards! Captain Shaw stated that nearly half of his ship's KKV launch bays and torpedo bays were burnt to a crisp by the Stellar Screech's lasers and are offline, but the ship is still operational. Other than the damage, this is good news! This means we can finally regroup to the inner Solar System. Once we secure Mercury and Venus, Mars and Luna will be the final stages of this war and then we can defeat EATA once and for all. Then, I can finally go home and see my family after all these years in space. Back to Mercury we go.

I'm starting to have nightmares. In these nightmares, I'm outside the ship on a spacewalk and I feel like something is watching me. This feeling is something I get occasionally when I am awake. There's something else out here in the Solar System. I can feel it. Even though we haven't detected any signatures of those Phantom Ships, I can't help but feel like they're always stalking us no matter where we go. My doctor is worried I might just be getting paranoid from being out in space for so long, but I don't think that's the case. I wonder if my crew feels the same.
