After the zombie bioweapon attack on Hawaii, NATO's North Atlantic Council and the NATO Space Force came up with a plan to defeat EATA once and for all. This plan was named after the plan to defeat Japan during World War 2 before the first atomic bomb was developed: Operation Downfall. Operation Downfall consisted of six phases: liberate Titan, liberate Ganymede, liberate Mercury, liberate Venus, destroy the EATA Space Force's ground presence on Mars through ground assaults, and then launch a M1A5 tank assault on Zvezda Base Camp and the International Lunar Research Station and force the remaining ESF forces in the Solar System back to Luna where NATO and EATA would face off in a final Lunar battle.

Even though the plan was seemingly straight forward, the battle tactics involved in each battle had to be generated by NATO's strongest and smartest AI where the generals of the NSF tweaked it and then used that as their strategy to win the war. NATO could have easily made this plan before but now they had something EATA didn't have just yet: the best strong general AI. Strong general AI was NATO's equivalent to making the first atomic bomb as this was their best asset in the war. NATO's super-AI was named "Black Queen" which used the most advanced quantum computing and programming to date. EATA's counter to Black Queen was called the "Red Right Fist" which was just shy of being the best strong general AI. This wasn't just an advantage, it was an opportunity.

Captain's Log: Jason Shepard - NATO Space Force

Date: August 15th, 2060 AD

Titan has been liberated! This battle was NOT easy! Once our orbits overlapped, my ship drew the attention of both the ESF Red Dawn and the ESF gunboats when they came within the range of our gaser battery. This left them no choice but to either focus on my ship and outmaneuver or be fried to the inside. This also left their cargo vessels defenseless. Despite their limited ship weapons, the NSF Athena of Steel fired enough gaser shots and torpedo fleets to take out the cargo ships which cut off EATA's supply route to Titan. With these ships gone, the NSF Athena of Steel used its gaser battery to take out the gunboat pests while our ship bought our battleship just enough time to avoid being outmaneuvered by them.

While this was happening, my ship was in a standoff with the ESF Red Dawn. We had to move to keep the gunboats busy while staying just outside the range of the Red Dawn's gaser battery which was thankfully outside the range of its lasers. The Red Dawn fired wave after wave after wave after wave of torpedoes and KVV's which pushed our point defense to its absolute limits. With the gunboats gone, the Red Dawn was then two on one with gamma-ray cannons. This forced the Red Dawn to deploy countermeasures and flee to the Saturnian System and regroup with their Mars' battlegroup which we have now put a dent in. Even though Black Queen planned the strategy of this mission, we would have lost if it wasn't for the brave and skilled actions of my crew. Not one of them lost their composure despite taking out torpedoes seconds before they would have blown apart our ship. I'm glad to have them by my side in this war.

Operation Downfall - Phase One: Mission Accomplished

Addendum:

The gradar operators in CIC have noticed more strange gravity wave signatures around Titan. These were similar to the ones detected around Venus not too long ago. I'm starting to suspect there is a third party in this war that we don't know about or haven't been told about. Whether they are aliens or not, I'm starting to get nervous. I have a feeling these Phantom Ships, as I call them, are a power much more advanced than us. It's almost like they are waiting to see the outcome of this war and then they're going to attack us all. These cylindrical ships are far too advanced to be from USAN, ASEAN, the AU, or the AL. Are they using the divide and conquer method? I hope not!

Note:

My first deviation of space combat! Sorry for the delay. Making curved tracer fire was difficult to master.

Red Tracers: Testudo CIWS
Green Tracers: Howler Railguns
Blue Tracers: Hole Puncher Coilguns

Green Target Glow: 13 MW Nd:YAG Green Laser Reflection

Trivia:

What would actual space combat look like? This guy nails it:

If you are wondering why the tracer shots don't look like individual shots, it's because I based it off of this time lapse image of a rocket launch:
