Description
Pen & Ink on 9 x 14 paperEh, I really wanted to make a minotaur that was somewhat biologically feasible, but it would have been yet another ape with horns I'd have conceptualized, as I've already come up with that kind of design with a cyclops and satyr.
So a big old theropod with big arms seemed like the best route to go. I've been semi-jokingly referring to it as a Minotaurus.
Still a better dinosaur than Indominus rex

Being a theropod would explain the whole "eating people" thing, but I think the Greeks would see this as more of a bull/crocodile than a bull/man. It's a cool dinosaur anyways.

Though I dont really get how this is a minotaur aside from the horns, its really dang cool.Β I really like the scale work, top notch textural detail.Β The face is super cool as well.

Well, to be honest, it's for a personal project which has animals named after or with the likeness of mythological creatures. This minotaur is called so primarily due to it's habitat (planned to be like a switchback-winding series of ravines) and its horns.
