France... isn't exactly a pansy. They may not have won a lot of wars, but they had their moments overall. I also understand the American revolution isn't likely to have succeeded without French assistance (most notably the battle of Yorktown I think it was).

Okay, so I'm America and I was kinda brought on the whole "The French hate us, we hate the French" kinda deal, so sometimes my words leave my mind without my permission. My point is: Gaul is totally hardcore, and France is... not.

Uh I'm a 33 year-old french who never hated america... But has had to deal for now more than 15 YEARS with the FRENCH-BASHING that YOU americans are so fond of. It's all over the internet, your newspapers, on your tv... It's getting really, really annoying. AMERICANS are the one spending their time bashing the french ANY TIME THEY CAN (and more). French usually could not care more about this stupid thing. Don't mistake YOUR attitude with OURS.

Alright, listen. I made that comment YEARS ago, when I was young, stupid, and easily influenced by the not always open views of the society I grew up in. I'm older now, hopefully a bit smarter and better educated, and I deeply regret any and all offense things I have ever said, especially those about heritage and ethnicity. I DO NOT believe a word of what I've said in the past and now know that it doesn't matter where a person comes from, comments such I have made are hurtful and dehumanizing. I was in the wrong. I wish I could go back and time and put my younger self in a headlock for saying and thinking such things and it shames me to know I was that person just a few years ago. Again, I am so, deeply sorry to any and all that I've insulted with such insensitive statements. I won't ask for your forgiveness or an acceptance of my apology, but please know that I truly and deeply regret saying such hateful things.
