I wanted to render this a bit more, but work is taking all my time- So I decided to post it anyway.SPOILERS!!11!!?? ( but it's been more than a year since game's release!!)
Don't know what to think of Demise, the lack of backstory and origin other than: I'm a bad guy, deal with it gwahahaha! and his relationship with Ganondorf is what takes me off...
Maybe if they had explained more the conflict between Hylia and him and the previous war in SS, but meh. It kinds of destroy everything they've built up with Ganondorf so far. And that lead to a bigger problem with it, IMO Ocarina of Time should' ve been first in the series, for various reasons (and good ones I think) I should explain later.
I know Mangas are not canon, but the manga that comes with Hyrule Historia should've been included as a cinematic, or flashback or something. It almost makes sense after reading it.
Still, it is pretty badass, cool design, first time I saw him I was like: oh, sh"t! ,so I tried to capture that in this quick painting.
I was going to paint the battle second phase with the lightning and stuff, but I decided I wanted to use warm colors for this one.

Personally, I don't like the alternate timelines, why on earth do they split into not two, but tree different directions? .I kind of understand the child and adult era split because of the time travel, but another having Link failing? No ,no,. It's not the actual Link's fall what lost me, but the fact that there is not a good reason for it... then I guess everytime I die in any other of the games, an alternate timeline is created!.
I know what you mean, I've been reading my Hyrule Historia book and there are parts of the story that seem forced just to fit into the timeline,it appears they struggled with that, but it is undestandable, they even acknowledge when they stated that games are primarly focused on gameplay, and then they come up with the story.
I never heard of that "legend" theory,but it is actually interesting to see it that way.

This is beautifully drawn.
The angle suits Demise well, the detail is enough to show your skills while being a little hazy to create a nice effect around each character. The lighting/colours suit the feel very well, if the feel is some sort of judgement battle, which this is, so I hope that's what you were going for. A stunning piece!

As I stated before, I was planning to fully render and add a lot more details, but I didn't have enough time cause I'm busy with work... so it's a bit unfinished.

My first thought about Demise is that he looked like Street Fighter's Akuma.

To be honest, i would love to feature your Vs Demise in the second round of Link's Blacklist already
There is one Demise artwork already but it is the plan to feature 2-5 artworks with every boss character anyway in the long run

Great pic, I also wish they had done more with Demise than make him the Resident Bad Guy.
Or stopped at Ghirahim, but no matter how anyone draws Ghirahim he doesn't look nearly as imposing.
